Every one like halva very much. Halva will melt easily while placing it in the mouth and this are liked by most of them. Today we can discuss about the halva which are made in Karnadaka style. This Karnadaka special halva is made in most important festivals. Normally halva is made by using rice grains. But in this special halva it include rice , raggy , like many grain powders are included in it. Raggy , wheat , rice , jaggery , ghee and cardamom are included in this Karnadaka halva. You are eager to eat right. So will tell you once more. This is not so easy method for the preparation of halva. The mixtures should be stirred well for some time and it takes more time to prepare halva. But if it takes time to prepare halva , when you take it you feel very tasty and you will forget about the time you spend while preparing it. So now we can look how to make halva right.

Step by step – karnadaka halva

Take raggy in a bowl. To that add half cup of water. Raggy should be placed like this for a night for wetting it
Take rice in a cup. To that add a quarter cup of water. Place it for one night for swelling. Take wheat in a bowl and add 1n quarter cup of water to it. Swell it also for one night. The swollen raggy , rice and wheat should be placed in the grinder and grind it well and make it as a powder. To that add two cup of water. Mix this well. Pour this mixture into a filter which is placed above the bowl. The mixture poured into the strainer should be properly filtered. The unpowdered powder should be make as powder by once more grinding. Add a cup of water to the grinder and grind it once again. Again it should be filtered. The Excess powder should be again gringed by pouring half cup of water to it. grind this well. The grinded coconut should be taken in a grinder. Add one cup of water grind it well. Grind this mixture well. The extra coconut should also grinded by pouring water to it. Take a pan which is applied with butter. The filtered mixture should be taken to the hot pan. Add jagger to it and mix well. It should be thoroughly mixed. 3035 minute the mixture should be mixed. It should be mixed upto making it a thickened form. When it is thickened add two spoon ghee to it and mix well. After that to it add cardamom powder. The prepared mixture should be poured to the ghee applied pan. Mix it well. 3540 this mixture should be placed for cooling. Apply ghee on the knife. Cut it in triangular shape. Now it can be served into a plate.
